The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced openings for 10 ex-cadre Group ‘B’ posts of Accountant and Accounts Officer on a deputation basis in its regional offices. These posts are available across cities like New Delhi, Prayagraj, Mumbai, Kolkata, Guwahati, Chandigarh, Raipur, and Bengaluru.


Post Details & Pay Scale:- 

1.Accountant (5 Vacancies)

  • Locations: Chandigarh, Raipur, Mumbai, Guwahati, Bengaluru
  • Pay Scale: Level 5 (PB-II: ₹9,300–₹34,800, Grade Pay ₹4,200)

2.Accounts Officer (5 Vacancies)

  • Locations: New Delhi, Prayagraj, Mumbai, Kolkata, Guwahati
  • Pay Scale: Level 6 (PB-II: ₹9,300–₹34,800, Grade Pay ₹4,600).                                     

Eligibility criteria :-

1.Accountant:

  • Option 1: Upper Division Clerks (UDCs) from CSCS with 10 years of service and training in Cash & Accounts from ISTM or equivalent, plus 1 year of experience in Cash, Accounts, or Budget work.
  • Option 2: SAS/Accounts passed clerks or officers holding analogous posts.
  • Age Limit: Max 56 years as of the application closing date.

2.Accounts Officer:

  • Option 1: Officers holding analogous posts or 5 years of service in Pay Level 5.
  • Option 2: SAS passed candidates or those trained in Cash & Accounts with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Age Limit: Max 56 years as of the application closing date.

Selection Process :-

Selection will be based on deputation, with candidates shortlisted as per DoPT guidelines. Final approval will depend on qualifications, experience, and department clearance.


How to Apply:-

  • Submit the prescribed application form (Annexure-II) with supporting documents such as cadre clearance, vigilance clearance, APARs, and employer certificates.
  • Applications must be routed through the proper channel and reach the designated office within two months from the advertisement date in Employment News.
  • Advance copies can be sent, but the original must follow promptly through the proper channel.
