NTA UGC NET June 2025 – JRF & Assistant Professor Exam
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official notification for NTA UGC NET June 2025 for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor, and admission to Ph.D. programs. Interested and eligible candidates can check all the details below and apply online before the last date.
Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): Not more than 30 years as on 01.06.2025. Relaxation of up to 5 years is applicable for OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD, Third Gender & women candidates.
Assistant Professor & Ph.D. Admission: No upper age limit.
Educational Qualification
(a) General/EWS Candidates: Minimum 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree or equivalent.
(b) OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender: Minimum 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree or equivalent.
(c) Candidates Pursuing Master’s: Candidates appearing in final year or awaiting results may apply.
(d) 4-Year Bachelor’s Degree Holders: Minimum 75% marks or equivalent grade. Eligible for JRF and Ph.D. admission but not for Assistant Professor.
(e) Final Year of 4-Year Bachelor’s Degree: Can apply provisionally and must fulfill UGC Ph.D. regulations within 1–2 years after result declaration.
