Eligibility Criteria for NCRTC O&M Posts
Nationality & Age:
- Must be an Indian citizen.
- Age Limit: Maximum 25 years (as of 24.03.2025).
- Relaxation:
- SC/ST – 5 years
- OBC-NCL – 3 years
- PwBD – 10 to 15 years
- Ex-Servicemen – As per Govt. norms
- Maximum age with relaxation: 50 years
Educational Qualification:
Only full-time qualifications from recognized institutes are accepted.
- Junior Engineer Posts: 3-Year Diploma or BE/B.Tech in respective fields
- Programming Associate: Diploma in CS/IT or BCA/B.Sc. (CS/IT)
- Assistant (HR): Graduation in BBA/BBM
- Assistant (Hospitality): Graduate in Hotel Management
- Maintainers: ITI in relevant trade (Electrician/Fitter) – Higher qualifications without ITI not valid
NCRTC Selection Process 2025
- Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Objective type (100 questions, 100 marks)
- Duration: 90 minutes
- No negative marking
- Bilingual (Hindi & English)
- Medical Fitness Test
- As per Indian Railway standards
- Expenses for initial exam covered by NCRTC
