2. NCC Special Entry

  • Flying Branch: 10% seats out of CDSE vacancies for PC and 10% seats out of AFCAT vacancies for SSC.

Nationality

  • Must be a citizen of India as per the Indian Citizenship Act, 1955.

Age Limit

  • Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years as on 1st July 2026 (Born between 2nd July 2002 to 1st July 2006). Upper age limit for candidates holding a valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable up to 26 years (Born between 2nd July 2000 to 1st July 2006).
  • Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) Branches: 20 to 26 years as on 1st July 2026 (Born between 2nd July 2000 to 1st July 2006).

Marital Status

  • Candidates must be unmarried at the time of commencement of the course. Marriage is not permitted during training.

Educational Qualifications

  • Flying Branch:
    • Minimum 50% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level.
    • Graduation with minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
    • OR BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
    • OR Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
  • Ground Duty (Technical) Branch:
    • Minimum 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level.
    • Four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/Technology from recognized University.
  • Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches:
    • Administration & Logistics: Graduate Degree (Minimum three years degree course) in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
    • Accounts: B.Com degree (Minimum three years degree course) from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
    • Education: MBA/MCA or MA/MSc degree in English/Physics/Mathematics/Chemistry/Statistics/International Relations/International Studies/Defence Studies/Psychology/Computer Science/IT/Management/Mass Communication/Journalism/Public Relation with 50% marks in aggregate in all papers put together in Post-Graduation (Minimum two years programme) and 60% marks in graduation.

  1. Written Examination (AFCAT): Online test covering General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability, Reasoning, and Military Aptitude Test.
  2. AFSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) interview.
  3. Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by AFSB will undergo medical examination conducted by the Air Force Medical Authorities.
